I was visiting a friend. We were out walking. I saw this tulip all alone. Isn’t it a bit strange?!
It looks so healthy and strong. Was it transplanted? Was it the only bulb that survived? Tulips are always in groups, where are the others? This one does look beautiful.
I have a lot of questions to ask this dear tulip!

Tulips propagate quickly. In two years the bed will be full. Of these things I know. Bulbs like to “mate” you are sleeping. Like rabbits.

I’m afraid idk much about tulips, but I do know E.M. Forster’s quote “Tulips were a tray of jewels.” 🌷

This spring we had some nice tulips growing in a flower bed. I knew my wife had planted some in the fall, so I told her, “I love the tulips in the bed under the window.’ Her reply, “I didn’t plant tulips under the window …”

I would probably be more interested in the person who planted this one tulip in this location.
