This past weekend I was in Nashville. It was a lot of fun. I did feel like I was back in College. You can see the strip here is full of bars. Each one had a band. Lots of drinking, dancing, partying. Lots of cowboy hats and boots. Enjoyed seeing the cowboy/cowgirl styles.
I was surprised to see one of these old fortune teller machines.

A lot of people were jumping up on the bar to have a picture taken with this sign behind them.

This was a band from another bar.

I did buy a shirt. Don’t they say, “When in Rome, dress like the Romans.” So, when in “Nashville, dress like the cowboys/cowgirls.” It is easier to dance to country music with cowboy boots on, my opinion.

This bus went by, I think it would be fun. We were only there two days, so not a lot of time for touring.

I look forward to going back. Next time dressed like a cowgirl!

I’ve never been to Nashville. Neighbors of ours went in the fall and they loved it!

LOL – we have those machines in different places across the country, but they sure are old. You would like Nashville. Really nice people, so friendly and polite.

Think College town atmosphere with bars/music. You have to like country music. Although, some bars had “rock.” I had some Canadian friends who were there for a week. I’m not sure what they were doing, but I think that might be a little too long. For me 2-4 days, tops.

You had a post today. It said I had to upgrade to being a paid subscriber to read your post. Did you change something. If not, letting you know.

Good news. I just re-checked and I was able to see your post. There must have been a glitch in the system the other day OR hacking going on?

I did change one setting the other day, so maybe that did it.

The first photo really encapsulates the character of downtown Nashville, including just a hint of the modern touch with the metal sculpture in the distance on the right. Love the shirt you purchased. You must go back to see more of what this wonderful city has to offer!

Is there a festival going on there or dancing, drinking and partying year round? 🙂 I love the shirt you bought!

I was there with friends. They told me that it is crowded every weekend. People drive there. Lots of college students, weddings, bachelor/ bachelorette parties, conferences, conventions, going on.

Hi. Nashville is a music hub, for sure. So is Memphis. Tennessee is, and has been for decades, a hotbed for music.
