Matt Haig is an amazing writer. Over the holidays I found the audio version of The Truth Pixie from the Library. He wrote it in verse and he narrates. Such a fabulous story. It’s about a pixie who must always tell the truth, no matter what she is asked. Of course, many people get angry with her when she speaks so honestly. She feels lonely. Then comes the day that telling the truth saves the day. This story is about her journey of acceptance and loving herself.
The rhyming is so lovely, the story so powerful. I truly think you will fall in love with the book too. The audio is the best. This story puts you in a good mood. GREAT if you need a gift.
Enjoy!
Sounds good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh good, I haven’t read that one yet. I was reading his book, Reasons to Stay Alive, on his depression. Did you know he suffered sever depression? Amazing that he turned things around and has come out with such wonderful books!

You might enjoy it to. While you are making your coffee in the morning, listen to it on audio. 🙂

This story reminds me of the Jim Carrey movie “Liar Liar”, where he’s a lawyer who has to tell the truth for a full twenty-four hours. Hysterical. And I thought I recognized this author. As Reg says, read his book “The Midnight Library”. I didn’t love it from start to finish but the premise is original and thought-provoking.

I think I had started The Midnight Library, but got bored… I’ll have to try it again. FOR SURE, you should listen to the audio of The Truth Pixie while working on your piano. 🙂

It’s nice to listen in audio, because it is a book in rhyme. Listen while you are doing paperwork or something like that.
