Hello Fellow Bloggers, in keeping with our rubber duck theme this week. Look what I found. In Hong Kong right now, an art installation by Florentijn Hofman, a Dutch Artist. It’s been 10 years since his first rubber duck visited Hong Kong. This time, two ducks for “Good Luck!”
Hoffman created this Rubber Duck Series in 2007. His ducks have been touring the world. I do remember years ago seeing in the news, the one rubber duck in Hong Kong, and thinking, “What, a HUGE rubber duck?” Now, there are two.
Visit WION’s (The World is One News) YouTube video to see the ducks zooming around Victoria Harbour. It’s fun!
So, what do you think? Are you smiling?

😊

That’s funny… how about a HUGE dragon. Would that do it?

I like them! I hope they find their way to one of Philadelphi’s waterways (I live near Philadelphia).

We’d have to go online and see where they’ve gone. It might be “major” cities.

Sounds like a good plot for a kids book: The rubber duck on tour around or Around the world with Mr. Duck or I guess to be woke, I should print “thee duck and duckette” or someone will criticize my interpretation, mostly.

That’s funny. Yes, it’s hard to know what to say without offending “someone.” A shame really.

Yes, sometimes you can’t account for what people hear after you say something. Sometimes it seems safer just to keep quiet but what fun is that?

On a good note, I started reading your book. It’s very nice, maybe I will finish this weekend, then I can give a review. 🙂

We visited Hong Kong a couple years before it became owned by China. I was amazed at the outdoor art installations. It’s nice to know that hasn’t changed!

Yes, it looks like it’s still the same.

WOW, they are big. I used to work for the Discovery Channel, each year they would put inflatable shark parts on the building for shark week. Often caused accidents. (LOL)

LOL – what a great job. I imagine it would cause accidents.

It was interesting, and hard to consider Honey Boo Boo as “talent.”

Such a simple concept and I’m sure lucrative for the artist.
