Toronto – Bathroom design…

A friend of mine recently traveled to Toronto. When she entered her hotel room, she walked into the bathroom and saw this big space behind the toilet.

We couldn’t make any sense of this. There are two railings on the wall. So, a handicapped bathroom? But why the big space behind the toilet?

Curious minds want to know…

  1. It’s for the new immigrants that actually stand / squat on the toilet seat to do their business! standard toilets are breaking because of this. they use the rear garb bar for this as well. A
Big baking company had to get rid of 20 workers because toilets breaking all the time because they would not sit. Crazy rituals, and of course our useless Prime minister encourages multi-cultures instead of becoming Canadians.

  2. There’s a reason the toilet OR the wall has to be exactly where it is and I’m guessing we’d know the answer if we could open up the wall or the floor. I’m guessing it has to do with the overall plumbing design, a mistake they couldn’t correct because the building was already constructed. A space for the dust bunnies to gather.
