Do you remember your dreams? They say we all dream, but I “rarely” remember anything. Although, every once in a while, I wake up humming / singing a song. So, I must have dreamt something, right.
This AM, I woke up singing Johnny Cash’s song, “Ring of Fire.” NOW, what was that about? I have been in a country music mood lately. I guess it’s time to listen to his music. My Dad used to blast “A Girl Named Sue” when he was in the Johnny Cash mood.
Well… I was going to share these two songs with you, but today YouTube and WP are not cooperating. When I do a paste for the song, I get a “not supported” message from WP. Trying to sort that out…
If you haven’t listened to Johnny Cash, visit his videos on YouTube.

This might make you chuckle. A few months ago, I woke up singing, “Santa Lucia.” Now, who knows what my mind was thinking THAT night!!

I used to listen to Johnny Cash when I was younger. One of the few country artists I would listen to. Not a bad dream, but hope Ring of Fire in your dreams does not have any bad connotations. Have a good Thursday. Allan

Yes, it could be. I WAS watching WARRIOR on Netflix. That might have brought the RING OF FIRE on.

I’m forever dreaming. Big, bold in technicolor. Sometimes they come in Part 1 and 2 , just like Intermission at the movies. Sometimes I think there is a novel lurking in my dreams….

That’s fantastic. Well, as long as it is a good dream, I would like to have dreams.

Constant dreaming can be exhausting.

Maybe Nashville rubbed off on you more than you’d care to admit? Give a country music playlist a try!

Of course, you are right!! I love country music, so a playlist would be perfect.

Hi. Speaking of dreams: Paul McCartney says the song Yesterday came to him in a dream. Steve Allen, a long-ago TV host and musician, said the same thing about a song he wrote — This Could Be The Start Of Something Big.

Wow, I did not know that, but I believe it!! Thanks for the INSPIRATION!

That is interesting! I never wake up with a song in my mind – I love that you do. It sets the tone for the day.

If you’re getting a not supported message for trying to post a video, then you may have to upgrade your WordPress account to obtain that access. I pay about $100 a year for the extra bells & whistles from WordPress. Nice post!

Thanks for the recommendation!

Now you have me wondering if I hear music in my dreams – I started off to say that I don’t dream music, but now you wonder if I have just never paid attention. But I have certainly never dreamed of the music of both Johnny Cash and Enrico Caruso. That, I would have remembered!

You write so much about great Jazz artists, you MUST have dreamt music in some way and then wrote about it.
