I was visiting a friend. We were out walking. It was early evening and these little birds were out in full force. They were chirping and chirping and flying so fast. I was lucky to get a few photos, because they do not rest in one spot for long. I’m not sure why my IPhone has the photos looking a bit blurry.

This bird was interesting. Look how disheveled he looked. I imagined my mother telling my brother, “You aren’t going out like that. Go comb your hair.”

We’re almost into August, soon Fall will be here. It’s nice to be out walking and enjoy our nice weather.
Enjoy your summer!

You have to be so fast with an iPhone to catch them! There was a big cardinal in our garden the other day and before I could open the door, position the phone…it flew away.

Oh, I would have loved to see the Cardinal. You are right, even if they are at a bird feeder, they are fast to move.

Such beautiful bird photos! Apparently, Sparrows are commonly seen as symbols of simplicity, joy, and friendliness and their presence signifies the importance of finding happiness in simple things and embracing a cheerful outlook on life. Thanks for sharing, and have a wonderful day 🙂 I hope your summer is going well 🙂 Aiva xx

It’s always nice to see these chirpy little Common sparrows. They were everywhere when we were young but nowadays for various reasons they seem to have become the Uncommon sparrows! Very nice pics.

I wonder where yours went. They are sweet.

One reason for their disappearance is the pigeon mafia. They edge out all other birds.

You’re right, they do come in full force.

I’m sure the birds weren’t as close as these photos suggest but it looks like you could just reach out and scoop them up!

Of course they were!! LOL – I did zoom in a little, but I was on the bench and they were right there, so very close shots. It’s just that I had to be super FAST to snap photos and hope I got a good one. You can get close to them, but they don’t sit still.

Everytime I see a goldfinch or other migratory songbird this time of year and moving ahead, I cherish the sighting and wish they could stay a little longer. 😔

Yes, I agree. There is a youthful playfulness about them zipping around.
