LEGO®, always a new design…

I was at the store the other day. As I walked by the children’s section, I saw the legos. I always stop and see what they have. I fell in love with this owl, the book and that different animals can be made with the kit.

LEGO® had their Advent Calendars out too. They looked fun, but I don’t have any grandchildren yet.

The holidays are coming, I decided to look at their website, see what adult legos they have. Look at this, they have the Mona Lisa. What a great gold frame. There are so many great designs.

Here’s to feeling like a kid. Fond memories bring us back, don’t they, especially with holidays approaching!

  1. I feel old. My Lego set was a bunch of random blocks with some wheels and some windows. What to build with them? “Figure it out yourself, kid!”

I have to salute the marketing guy who thought up selling specialized kits. What a great way to sell Lego blocks in perpetuity!

    1. Personally, I prefer the old style. I can use my imagination and make almost whatever I want. If I lose a piece or two… No problem, I have multiples of the same piece.
The designer sets are great to build but someone else had already designed them. Much like the car models of old, they are a make it and shelve it type of toy.

      1. I don’t agree. I mean, when you open the kit, you see how to make the designs they created. AFTER THAT, those pieces will get mixed in with the “other” lego pieces, then you can create even more things.
