Happy St Patrick’s Day!

While I’m not Irish, it’s fun to celebrate with my Irish friends. This morning they were showing the St Patrick’s Day parade going on in Dublin. My daughter lived in Ireland for five years. She said this is indeed their biggest holiday.

Happy St Patrick’s Day! Maybe we all find a pot of gold. I do enjoy their sheep. 😉☘️🇮🇪

  1. What was your daughter doing in Ireland for five years? We visited on my 50th birthday and missed St. Patrick’s Day by a few days. But we did have a traditional St. Patrick’s Day corned beef, which is totally different than what we have here.

  2. Here’s something new I learned about St. Patty’s Day. It should NEVER be referred to as “Patty” but rather “Paddy”. Patrick in Ireland is Padraig (and even the “d” is silent). No “t” anywhere to be found. With that logic, maybe we should be saying “Happy St. Pa-ricks’s Day”? 🙂

  3. It has become a tradition at our house for SPD to make Corned beef, potatoes and cabbage. Now I’m hungry for it again! Now I’m wondering why we didn’t add soda bread and a wee nip of Jameson’s.
