Summer has started, time for FIREWORKS!

You know summer has started when you go for a walk and you see the kids RUNNING & SCREAMING! At first, I thought, “What the heck is going on??” Then I realized — SCHOOL’S OUT!!

That means July 4th celebrations are around the corner. I’ve been eyeing this puzzle for a while. I was drawn to the Fireworks in the background. So, I took the plunge and bought it.

Life is FUNNY! Last night, I got the fireworks done. Just after I finished them…

I got a call. A family wedding next Saturday! I chuckled to myself.

So, that’s why I did the fireworks!! Can’t you FEEL the different explosions of color!

The Universe has such interesting SURPRISES this year!

It’s SUMMER… On my walk, I got wet by a water sprinkler. Obviously, I thought I could “beat” the timer of when the water would hit me…

I was STARTLED!

It was REFRESHING!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Is there anything better than the end of the school year that brings a sense of freedom, allowing kids to engage in activities they enjoy without the pressure of academic schedules? In Ireland, we have three more weeks to go until the schools are out, and I am very much looking forward to it as the prospect of summer vacation, with its opportunities for travel, relaxation, and pursuing hobbies, brings so much joy. Thanks for sharing, and have a wonderful weekend 🙂 Aiva

    1. You are absolutely right. The end of the school year and summer starting brings SO MUCH JOY! Even as you say, for yourself, as a parent. Time to have fun and enjoy your time with your children, stress free. LOVE THAT. We have some schools still in session, but even so, the NEW energy the kids have is exciting! 💕

  2. I finished some yard work earlier this week, just before a passing rain storm. But I walked slow-w-w-w-w back to the house because it felt so good to get soaked!

You built the best part of that puzzle already. It’s too summer-hot down here to relate to that fire pit and fireplace. But I do like the Independence Day decorations. People here in the South already have theirs up, and why not? Like Christmas, there’s nothing wrong with drawing out the celebration a little.

  3. School is out already? I’m sure our kids have to go until the end of June, but I think they start later than in the U.S. I like the puzzle – I miss doing them with my mom. Sorry for the forest fire smoke we are sending your way, but it’s not my fault – I don’t live out west! It’s worrisome though, this early in the season….

    1. Yes, here in Chicago the other day it was really bad. I was wondering why my eyes were hurting and my throat felt weird. Then realized it was the haze from the fire. I’ll have to Google this. I hope where the fire is that it is not causing destruction to people’s homes, etc. Sad that there have been so many fires again.

      1. I saw on the news that Chicago was bad. It bothered my eyes too, Toronto was bad, but where I live was just a bit hazy. Still the weather people had issued an air quality warning. There were apparently 258 wild fires blazing, mostly in northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and some communities were destryoed and/or had to evacuate. We had that problem two summers ago, but it was later in the summer and dryer, so it doesn’t bode well having it this early.

  4. My mother did many a jigsaw puzzle and I always enjoyed taking a turn with them when I would visit. I could see myself setting up a puzzle as a wintertime activity when I retire for real.
