V is for VICTORY! Try these wooden puzzles. Great gifts too.

I’ve been having a lot of fun doing wooden puzzles lately. Recently, I learned about Victory Wooden Puzzles out of England. They date back to 1920, their logo / marketing message is V for VICTORY, putting in the final piece. You can see, top right of box, victory sign.

If you need a GIFT for someone or something fun to do in the evening by yourself or with children / grand children you will enjoy their mini puzzle versions (~80-99 pieces).

Here are two that I have done, really enjoyed them.

I liked this one of San Francisco.

This came from an advertisement they sent me via email. I wanted you to see the mini puzzles come in a small round tin, so easy to transport.

Fall / Winter are coming, we can feel it in the weather, evenings getting dark early.

Puzzling is a wonderful way to pass the time by yourself or with others. Ideal as gifts too.

Have a great weekend! Happy PUZZLING!

    1. I hadn’t done wooden puzzles either. A friend gave me hers to try out, it was a 500 piece turtle, very challenging. At first it was strange, because the pieces connect in a different way, but then I got the hang of it. They have a heavy rewarding sound when they clink together. Maybe you can find one somewhere to try out. I was just at the thrift store, someone had donated 2 beautiful Liberty Wooden Puzzles. I’ve been wanting to try that brand, so that was a pleasant surprise. The boxes were in good shape, taken with care. Puzzling is relaxing while listening to an audio book.

  1. My mom was an avid puzzler and would have loved these. Now is time to snag some of these fun puzzles for holiday gifts. Yes, all of a sudden it seems like we’re losing so much daylight. Fall is my favorite season, but I don’t look forward to Winter at all.
