My daughter and I were out celebrating her birthday recently., which was fun. A birthday celebration does not seem complete without a birthday cake. While we didn’t need a BIG cake, we wanted a slice of cake, something decadent… where to go? Aha, we decided on “Sprinkles.” She loves the coconut cupcakes and so do I, so off we went.
As she was placing her order, I happened to see that they had an ATM cupcake vending machine outside. You can see photo, that’s how the machine looks in the early evening, all lit up. I remember hearing about the ATM cupcake machines a few years ago, and thought it was a fad that would die out, but it’s still going – 24 hour service. That means if we have a late night craving for a cupcake, a decadent one, we can fulfill our sweet tooth’s desire.
Sprinkles has strategic locations throughout the U.S. (San Francisco Bay Area, Beverly Hills, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Nashville, Dallas to name a few). The cupcakes are very big, a bit expensive, but remember you are treating yourself.
In January they are serving “Breakfast Cupcakes,” now that will give you a sugar high. If you live near a Sprinkles, I would suggest joining their reward program, you’ll get a FREE cupcake on your birthday!
So – HAPPY BIRTHDAY to January birthdays!
Treat yourself! Start the year off right with a Sprinkles cupcake!
Happy early January birthday to you, my dear friend!

The Sprinkles 24/7 cupcake ATM is marketing genius. We went out of our way to visit the one in Beverly Hills a few years ago, as much to see the ATM in action as for the cupcakes themselves. Were the cupcakes good? I think so, but it’s the ATM that sticks in my mind (and you may even pay more for the individually-boxed cupcakes from the ATM than if you wait in the typically long lines to buy over-the-counter. Makes me wonder why other companies and their products haven’t considered a similar approach.

Agree – it’s a great idea! The cupcakes are very moist, sweet with the creamy topping, but it’s a cupcake – it should be rich, right!

Funny. My daughter had a sprinkles on Saturday. They have a breakfast one…peanut butter cupcake with I think it was Cocoa Puffs on top

Hey, I was reading about their breakfast cupcakes. Did she like it or was it “too” sweet?

I totally forgot about the Sprinkles cupcake Atm! I remember when it first came out and I couldn’t wait to go try it. Now that I know about the free birthday cupcake might have to go and do it this year! Thanks for letting me know 🙂

I haven’t had Sprinkles in a while. 1. because they are just so sweet/ rich and 2. because they ain’t cheap and 3. they are no longer in my vicinity. But it’s totally a great treat for special occasions!

All your points are true, that’s why they are considered a “treat!”

Sometimes the craziest ideas are the ones that become great hits. This might turn out to be a trend in the future, who knows?

I’ve never heard of Sprinkles, but then I’m not the Cupcake Connoisseur in my family. I’ll have to pass this on to my sister-in-law.
I can still remember waking up in the hotel room on one of our Sisters’ Trips in New York (??). My 2 sisters and I were woken up by our SIL coming in with a box of cupcakes from some famous bakery she had to visit. Yup – cupcakes for breakfast!!
She’ll be thrilled to learn about this new development. She might even try to plan the next trip just to get close to a cupcake ATM.

YES — I wonder if people use it a lot or not. Maybe during COVID they did. This company started that machine a long time ago. Not sure if you have one in your area, they are delicious – decadent!
