Look at this, a deluxe wooden version of Monopoly. It was so heavy I could barely pick it up. Right next to it, they had a HUGE wooden Scrabble game. I admit, they look beautiful. These are old games I used to play as a child. I forgot to look at the price.
I enjoyed playing Monopoly until we got to the buying houses. Then all the bartering, etc. got be bored and I would quit. One of my siblings was ALWAYS happy to combine my winnings with theirs and off I would go. As I walked away I could hear them arguing, “That’s NOT FAIR, etc.”
Ah — Good old Monopoly!
Scrabble, we didn’t play this much. Not sure why, but I know some people who were die hard fans of this game. We played a lot of Canasta. Remember that card game and UNO.
So — if you need a LAST MINUTE GIFT… I just gave you a new idea!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I meant to buy Apples to Apples to play over the holidays and forgot. Thank you for the reminder 🙂
Wishing you many blessings this Christmas! ♥♥

I love monopoly but hate that you need three players

Why do you need three? Look at photo, it says you can play with two. Classic Monopoly is 2-8 players. More fun and lively with at least 3-4, but still fun with 2.

You can, but it’s not as fun fun when it comes to trying to build. The trades are more challenging with three or more.

LOL – it’s one of those games that will never grow old. I played it this summer, had not played it in years — we had FUN, until we got to the buying of houses, then I went to bed. 🙂

I haven’t played it in years, but remember it as being a very long game and just when it started to get good, we’d be tired of it and quit!

LOL – that’s how I remember it too. FUN when it started… but then LONG!

You prompted my holiday nostalgia, we were a Uno and Scrabble family until chess took over, such a serious game. Happy holidays to you!

Chess, of course! Forgot that one. My twin brother ALWAYS wanted to play with me, because he would win. I don’t know if I didn’t concentrate enough or if he had better moves, but he would BEG me to play! Checkers and backgammon too! Nice memories. We didn’t have phones/internet, so played games, right. 🙂
