Merry Christmas! Angel blueberry scones…

I decided to surprise my daughters with some blueberry scones. I made them into Angels. They were very good; however, I should have taken them out a little sooner. I haven’t baked in a while, so I was a little rusty on the timing. STILL the Angels were a big hit.

My daughter made protein waffles. Interesting ingredients: vital wheat gluten, oat flour, fat free cottage cheese, egg whites, some water. Before you shake your head, they were good. I would not have known they weren’t made from a waffle mix. They were delicious, very filling.

It’s fun to do some baking, home cooking for the holidays.

Wishing you ALL a very Merry Christmas Eve / Day!

  1. Hi Monica,
The scones look perfect to me. I like everything well done and darker 🙂
The waffles sounds interesting. I am not a waffle person but I would be curious to try .
I hope you and your daughters are having an amazing Christmas!
    Blessings!! 🙏❤❤

  2. On first look, I thought they were ghosts and wondered why you are making halloween cookies during Christmas lol. Maybe that’s my twisted filter working 😉 They look wonderful and I have not baked any scones at all. Something to add to the list. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a healthy, fun-filled 2022!

  3. My brother and his wife sent lemon scones from a Bay Area bakery for Christmas. They came with a jar of “double cream” (think no-salt butter) and another jar of lemon curd. Altogether, a scrumptious baked good! Also, I’d say the topping on the waffles was done by a professional 🙂
