I was at the store the other day. As I walked by the children’s section, I saw the legos. I always stop and see what they have. I fell in love with this owl, the book and that different animals can be made with the kit.
LEGO® had their Advent Calendars out too. They looked fun, but I don’t have any grandchildren yet.
The holidays are coming, I decided to look at their website, see what adult legos they have. Look at this, they have the Mona Lisa. What a great gold frame. There are so many great designs.

Here’s to feeling like a kid. Fond memories bring us back, don’t they, especially with holidays approaching!

Love the owl, but I sure hope the “Creator” kit is less than the Mona Lisa kit (which looks like a very quick build). Ouch to that price!

Oh, I’m sure the Owl was cheaper. I couldn’t find a price on it, and I didn’t have time to track down a customer service person. Was tempted to buy it. Agree, the Mona Lisa looks easy.

I love playing and creating with LEGO as it sort of brings a feeling of order to a chaotic or stressful day and can have huge therapeutic benefits.

LEGO is so soothing, I find. Must look at purchasing a kit for myself for the holidays:)

Good plan, I’m going to relook at their site too.

I need to get my granddaughter an advent calendar. She might also like one of those Owl Lego sets too.

That would be good, she will love it. The Owl was nice, they have other ones to choose from too depending on what she might like.

I feel old. My Lego set was a bunch of random blocks with some wheels and some windows. What to build with them? “Figure it out yourself, kid!”
I have to salute the marketing guy who thought up selling specialized kits. What a great way to sell Lego blocks in perpetuity!

LOL – and they have kids for adults too!

Personally, I prefer the old style. I can use my imagination and make almost whatever I want. If I lose a piece or two… No problem, I have multiples of the same piece.
The designer sets are great to build but someone else had already designed them. Much like the car models of old, they are a make it and shelve it type of toy.

I don’t agree. I mean, when you open the kit, you see how to make the designs they created. AFTER THAT, those pieces will get mixed in with the “other” lego pieces, then you can create even more things.
