The other day it was snowing. My daughter and I went walking and as we were talking, she suddenly said, “Look, Mickey Mouse.” We looked more closely and laughed, “YES, it sure looked like Mickey!!”
She was on a roll. As we walked, she kept noticing more snow art, it was so amusing. You can see from above, the left photo, if we blinked, we would not have seen Mickey, same with the other funny figures. We saw the figures at a distance, I zoomed in on them.
We “did” take the liberty of adding to some of the art, ie the snail, we added an antenna, the fish skeleton, we added the bones, that balloon, we added the string… but the balloon, you can see from left photo using our imagination, it was there… the added string, made it believable to “non-snow art-believers.”

Finally, for the GRAND FINALE, before we started to shovel snow… we saw this SMILEY FACE.
Ok… with this one… the EYES were THERE… my daughter added the mouth, but COVER the mouth and you can see how the EYES were talking to us in a “catch me if you dare,” kind of look.

What a fun walk. So, what snow art have you seen lately?

The snow does not just change the landscape, giving the dull browns and greys of late autumn an instant makeover in white, and often bringing a startling beauty to the most unexpected of places, but it also affects the way we behave towards one another. It has an invigorating effect, shaking us out of our daily complacency and generally making us feel more alive. I wish we had more snow in Ireland! Last week, a few snowflakes were twirling in the cold winter air but they slowly melted away upon the contact with the wet ground. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

It is fun to have snow. Well, you will need a new vacation, a snow destination. 😉☃️

Great idea to play with the snow, rather than just shovel it. Our friends in England taught us to always look for shapes in nature that mimic people, animals or characters. Amazing what you see when you lok close. Happy Tuesday. Allan

What fun you had. I see the snow art clearly. There is no snow in South Africa 😉

Come springtime you should lay down in the grass with your daughter, look up, and find cloud animals. It’s apparent you’d both be good at that too!

I have mostly seen multiple sculptures that combine a formerly useful car and concrete material used as a highway-side barrier. I have even seen a few of the larger ones that incorporate red and blue flashing lights! 🙂

What was nice about this walk, is that these funny things just happened as the pretty snow flakes came down. We haven’t had a lot of snow in Chicago. We used to get snow starting late November. Now, snow doesn’t come until mid-January. It’s interesting.

That sounds so beautiful! I’ve only been in Arizona for four years and the rainy season is supposed to start in November. We haven’t had any yet this winter.

Well, I enjoy your walks and when you show the cactus and the wildlife. Very desert like.
