I’m always thrilled when out walking with some amazing nature finds. I was looking at these beautiful flowers when a bee came buzzing by. Time to eat!
As I looked at this one, I was able to get a close up picture. A beautiful creature.
Walking further, I found a few other bees. So, honored them with a photo of themselves too.
When we slow down, it’s fun to observe nature.

Here’s to enjoying summer!!

These are such beautiful photos, and bees are such wonderful creatures, playing a vital role in our ecosystem and contributing to human life in numerous ways. My father-in-law was a beekeeper, so I was very lucky to have an educational insight into the fascinating life of bees. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

Wow, that’s interesting about your father-n-law. You must have had yummy honey! They are special indeed. I got lucky that day with my photos. 😉 Have a nice day Aiva.

Yes, you are right, we had an abundance of freshly harvested honey all year round. Nothing comes close to the taste of raw, unfiltered honey, especially when eaten directly from the honeycomb – it is still one of my favourite memories associated with my late father-in-law.

Beautiful pictures!! I will confess to a lifetime of staying as far away from bees as possible, but the prior comment about delicious fresh honey has me smacking my lips.

Usually, I’m afraid of them, but these bees were so focused on going from flower to flower, that I knew they were not in the “stinging mood.”

Beautiful photos. I’m a huge fan of bees. I’m turning my front lawn into one of clover, not grass, to encourage the bees. Be damned to the neighbours.

Thanks for showing your pictures. We just blogged about bees as well. They are working in our lavender bushes.
