I’ve never been a big Game Show person, ie Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, etc.
However, recently I was visiting my Mom, 85, and she’s started watching Game Shows.
One morning, as I made her some oatmeal, Cash Cab came on. Wow, such a FUN show!
Basically, Host – Stand up Comedian Bill Bailey, drives a cab. People get in the cab, not knowing it’s a game show until flashing lights goes off on the ceiling. He drives them to their destination, asking questions. They have two shout outs, one to a person on the street, one to a person they call. Three strikes they are out. If they lose, he boots them out of cab BEFORE their final destination. If they win, they get cash.

I stumbled on this one years ago, but have not watched it in a long time. Watch long enough and you will see that some contests are far better at trivia than others.

Yes, it’s true and it’s more fun when there is a group that enters that cab versus a solo passenger. I found it fun, and I’m not normally a Game Show person, but maybe because this is “real time” driving to your destination and the questions are short and quick that I liked this style of show. Puts me in a “good mood.”

LOL – what do you mean, that they couldn’t answer questions? I enjoyed the show. It’s light hearted, up beat and quick… drive / answer questions until you get to destination. With all the violent shows out there, this was a welcome surprise. No Bah Humbugs here. LOL

Yeah, they could not answer third grade Civic questions, 4th grade history questions, or any grade math questions. Yes, it was entertaining, but, just like Wheel of Fortune, the “players” were not the sharpest tools in the shed.
