My daughter and I were driving and saw this statue. We went by too quickly for me to see WHY the statue was there.
Then I saw some murals, really nice.

Fun to see… I’ve seen some interesting billboards lately too, but alas, when driving can’t take a photo.
Enjoy the great weather. Well, if you are having nice weather, we are, FINALLY.

You need a dash cam! I want to get one.

That sounds good. This bird feeder looks like the Bird Buddy brand. My girlfriend sends me the funniest video clips of squirrels going on the bird feeder and birds fighting, etc.

Those are great murals – I like when a city gets mural artists or any kind of artist to do creative work. The Indian statue looks well done as well!

Yes, instead of hunkering down in the house and looking out the window!

The Indian is pretty darned life-like – so much better than anything I could create myself. He seems to be looking a LONG way out there. Was there some prairie or landmark in that direction?

No, he was right in the middle of city streets. We were driving, so I couldn’t see why he was there, ie maybe a restaurant or something. I didn’t see a park.

That looks like an old “cigar store Indian”. I wonder what it was about cigar stores that made them become associated with wooden statues of Indians.

Interesting, I did not know that. Next time I’m in that area, I’ll have to look for the Indian and see why he was there. It’s in a busy city area, not a park.
