This past weekend Chicago was hit with a lot of snow. It was fun to see a father with his child building a snowman. The hat is so perfect and the green scarf lovely – the perfect photograph!
It’s an artistic snowman. I like how the bottom spreads out, but somehow they made the stomach area look really round. Look at those sticks for arms/hands. This snowman makes me smile.
For me, so far, this is the Snowman of the Year! UNLESS, we get another snow storm, then let’s see what happens.
GUESS WHAT – Feb 2nd is Groundhog Day. Will Phil Punxsutawaney, the groundhog, see his shadow??? It’s a silly tradition. Has anyone ever checked to see if the yearly predictions were true?

I LOVE that snowman! He is the best ever. Yes, many years the groundhog’s prediction is right. I haven’t checked lately but as a kid, I actually did check and usually, he was right. The other one that is 90% right is – “If March comes in like a lion, it leaves like a lamb and vice versus.” So if March 1 is a cold, nasty day, I’m happy as I know it will be nice at the end of the month!

I saw a meme yesterday. It was a groundhog claiming to be Phil’s wife. She said she divorced him cause he’s a compulsive liar

Beautiful snowman! Great father/child project. I am surprised it is not riddled with bullets in Chicago. Must be in the Northern part of the city.

Yes, we’re a little North. I’m surprised no one has stolen his hat or scarf. He was starting to melt today… made me think of Frosty the Snowman that animation movie. I’m sure you’ve seen it, they try to get Frosty to the North Pole so he won’t melt.

I say snow-woman with that “dress”. And Phil saw his shadow, so another six weeks of winter… sigh. Wonder whether he’s been more wrong or right over the years?
